Nestled in the heart of Sydney’s Darling Harbour, Sofitel SPA offers a sanctuary of calm, where the art of relaxation combined with beauty and wellness is elevated to new heights. Among its exquisite offerings, the 60-minute Vino Therapy Facial stands out as a pinnacle of indulgence and rejuvenation.

Upon entering the serene Sofitel SPA, my friend and I are soon enveloped in a sense of tranquillity, and comment how quickly we feel our stress melt away in this oasis of calm.

The Vino facial, a jewel in the spa’s crown, begins with a thorough consultation by my skilled therapist Mira, who customizes the facial to suit my skin’s needs.

The treatment begins after being cocooned in warm white blankets.

Using the Biologique Recherche and Waterlily products, the facial is a symphony of cleansing, exfoliation, and hydration. Each step is performed with precision and care, as the ritual targets the texture and tone of my skin to help brighten my skin.

The star of the show is the facial massage, which not only promotes circulation but also induces a state of deep relaxation, and I find myself wafting in and out of sleep as my therapist’s expert hands work her wonders.

The process of cleaning my face with bio cleansing oil, a lactic cleanse, followed by an enriching Glycolic peel (AHA acid) leaves leaves my skin feeling revitalized.

Mira works her magic with a Vino therapy & HA skin infusion followed by more massaging with Vino therapy massage emulsion, sealing in the benefits of the nourishing ingredients.

Her finishing touch is applying Plasma Repair moisturiser and a soothing eye repair cream, and even before I check out my complexion, I can feel my skin is more radiant, plump, and has a newly restored glow.

After indulging in the ultimate pampering session, my friend and I relax on a white lounge recliner with herbal tea and a nut mix rich in macadamias. For those wanting to make the most of their Sofitel SPA experience, you can also take a swim in the infinity pool or use the fitness centre which has state of the art equipment, including Peloton Bikes.

Instead, we chose to exchange our fluffy white towels for a visit to the elegant Club Millesimal members lounge on Level 35. It’s an incredibly luxurious space with floor to wall glass windows overlooking Darling Harbour. Here, we helped ourselves to buffet style food including an indulgent Sacher chocolate cake before being served a glass of champagne. Enjoying time with my friend with a few bubbles as we soaked up Sydney’s majestic skyline was a befitting final touch to our gloriously memorable day.
