Six Restaurants Serving Pegan Friendly Dishes around Australia

Firstly, let’s clear the air, and answer the question we’re all thinking; what is the pegan diet and what can you eat? The pegan diet is a cross between the paleo and vegan diet.

The popularised paleo diet, otherwise known as the caveman diet, allows you to only eat the same things as our Paleolithic ancestors would hunt or gather. All things locally sourced and seasonal, such as, nuts, fruits, vegetables and meats. In combination with the vegan diet, which doesn’t allow any consumption of animal products.

The two meet halfway to form a hybrid that allows you to consume the best of both worlds – low starch, low sugar, lots of plant foods and sustainable meat products.
