They’re often front row at many of the best fashion shows in the world, best friends with famous designers or ambassadors or owners/collaborators of their own brands. So here are the top five fashion trends for this year’s Coachella Festival so far.

Bandanas

The bandana was first worn by cowboys to keep the dust off their faces and then it became a distinguisher became different gangs, mainly in America. Worn in the hair and around necks. (joey bada$$). Either in a classic printed paisley or a simple block colour. The most common trends are in black and white or red. This year many celebs were seen sporting bandanas in their hair or around the necks, maybe it’s secretly not a fashion trend and actually a code for the different A-list gangs. Just a thought.

Fringe

Fringe has been around for years, let’s not forget the roaring 20’s when everyone was shaking their tasselled dresses out on the dance floor. Then again in the 70s it was cool to look like you had walked out of western with a fringed suede jackets and fringed shirts. This fringing is everywhere; on bags, shorts, dresses, tops and under the arms. Everyone is fringing out.

Bomber jackets

The Bomber Jacket was first brought to life around World War II, made out of leftover parachute silk and other materials, how resourceful and retro! This year the revival of the Bomber Jacket is a strong one, having seen many must-have styles showing up on the fashion runway, from the likes of Chloé, Gucci and Louis Vuitton. No wonder it’s been one of the go-to accessories to your outfit this year at Coachella. It’s sporty and chic and makes you outfit that little bit more retro.
