On the 5th of July, 2020, the 53-year-old Brisbane mum started the eating program weighing 104 kilos. Today, the scales are at 73 kilos although she’s weighed in at just over 67 kilos at her lowest.
While Karen was thrilled with her weight loss and its positive effect on her health and energy levels, Karen found herself facing a new and unexpected challenge.
“The hardest thing about the weight loss is that while you feel all this energy, and you can see the change in your clothes you have a sinking feeling when you see all this excess skin. It looked and felt ugly quite frankly which set off a whole new range of emotions. I’d won one battle but now was facing another,” says Karen.
“I wanted to tone and firm my skin and I wanted to do it non-surgically. The older I get, the more natural I get, so I wanted to avoid a costly and potentially risky operation to remove excess skin.”
