It’s music to Justin Beiber’s ears. The rockin’, poppin’ and r&b’n pocket rocket has pumped out a record breaking No:1 hit What Do You Mean? His whirlwind Australian Tour is making headlines for all the right reasons, and a few wrong reasons too, but mainly they’re highs. Here’s some of the headline hits and misses…

High: Rocking The Charts
Are you a Belieber? You should be! The Canadian singer’s single What Do You Mean? hit No. 1 on the US iTunes Singles Sales chart in five minutes after being released on August 28, 2015. That’s a record, and globally, it’s topped 90 iTunes charts. You better beliebe it. Not bad for the young Canadian, who was signed by R&B maestro Usher and Co: at the tender age of 15. The pocket rocket’s new album will be released November 13, 2015, and is set to become is his fourth number one album. Nice timing for his Australian touchdown!

Low: Beiber’s Snappy Snapchat Rant
Maybe he was having a bad day, jet lagged, or just over screaming fans. But hours after touching down in Melbourne on September 27th, Beib’s released a Snapchat message to fans calling for a little R.E.S.P.E.C.T. In it, he says:

“The way you ask or approach me when you want a photo with me is going determine if I take a photo or not. If I’m walking somewhere or arriving somewhere and you guys are asking me to take a photo, if I don’t respond, if I continue to keep walking, the likelihood is that I probably don’t want to take a photo at that moment. If you start screaming louder that’s not going to make me take a photo more. I want to enjoy the moment like you’re enjoying the moment but I can’t enjoy it if I’m not feeling there’s any respect given to me at that moment.

Usually the chances are I’ll take a photo but if perhaps I don’t, or I’m not in the mood to take a photo that moment, please just respect me and just treat me the way you want to be treated. I’m not unattainable, unreachable. I’m just like you and I communicate just like you, so next time remember.” Still, that didn’t stop the Melbourne fans cheer squad.

High: The Bieb’s World Famous Rooftop In Melbourne
Rockin’ Melbourne’s skyline this week, the Bieb’s put on a show for 2Day FM fans. Twitter went crazy. Instagram went nuts. Facebook exploded. And Bieb’s went crazy – in a good way. He even looked as cute as a Calvin Klein model wearing full headdress – err, hoodie.

Low: No Photos Allowed!
This one’s a double edged sword, but a select audience had an incredible opportunity to watch Beib’s perform live in-studio after the World Famous Rooftop show in Melbourne. The VIP audience had one condition attached though – no phones were allowed into the premises. There goes their Bieber-encounter proof. One guest who attended the performance told 2Day FM she was speechless. “I didn’t care that we weren’t allowed to have our phones. It meant we could just be in the moment.” R.E.S.P.E.C.T

Catch Justin while he’s in Oz!
• Catch the Bieb’s performing live on The X Factor on Tuesday 29th September.
• Justin will perform live from Sydney Harbour’s #BIEBERISLAND on September 30 as a part of the KIIS presents iHeartRadio LIVE series.
