Central Coast chippie Kyal Demmrich mostly let his hammer do the talking as a fan favourite alongside wife Kara on The Block in 2014.
But you couldn’t keep this proud first-time dad quiet as he bonded with his first-born Ziya Christopher this week.

“It just feels like a dream,” writes Kyal alongside the hospital selfie he and Kara shared with their thousands of social media fans.
“Introducing our beautiful baby boy Ziya Christopher Demmrich,” he added.
The couple, who were better known as ‘The Super Ks’ on The Block, revealed a healthy Ziya Christopher was born on Sunday night weighing 3.85kg.

“Kara was nothing short of amazing. I’m still buzzing from helping guide our baby out!
“So lucky and blessed to have watched this miracle happen before my eyes! Thanks to all those lovely people who have sent us messages leading up to the birth.”
Kyal also shared another shot online of their son, with part of the caption saying: “Best miracle I’ve ever seen.”
“Extra special being able to help guide him out then cut the cord! Kara was a legend through the whole thing. Admiration levels are now through the roof.”
Throughout Kara’s pregnancy, the pair had been sharing plenty of pictures of her growing baby bump on social media.
Kyal previously praised his partner for how she was handling the pregnancy.

“Can’t say enough how amazed I am at the woman’s body to go through the process of growing a human,” Kyal wrote.
“This woman in particular she’s coolest cutest thing even when she snores at night. Seriously can’t wait to meet our baby.”
Kara, a qualified physiotherapist, put her career on hold after the couple was selected for the Fans Vs Favourites series.
After their success on TV – they won more than $500,000 on The Block and later appeared on Reno Rumble– they launched a career in renovations and currently work together on a design and construction business called Diverse Design & Construct.
