To celebrate the motion picture event, Downton Abbey, the Highclere Castle will be available to two people for an overnight stay!
Fans of the show will get the chance to experience the rarified life of the Crawleys’. Guests will also be invited to an exclusive cocktail evening with the owners of this stately pile, the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon in their beautiful Saloon, followed by dinner in the State Dining Room, coffee served in the Library, and breakfast the following morning.
On top of that, the guests will be served by Highclere Castle’s very own butler and they’ll get to read the newspapers in the morning, once they’ve been ironed that is.
The castle in its entirety covers 100,000 square feet, with a total of 300 rooms, some of which can be explored, such as the Drawing Room or one of the Gallery bedrooms.

Guests that are lucky enough to stay in the castle will have to comply to a set of strict rules:
- There are not pets allowed! BUT – guests will be in the company of nine friendly dogs
- No smoking
- All newspapers must be ironed
- Only one butler per person
- Dress code for cocktails and dinner is de rigueur
- Gossip must only occur in the downstairs quarters
- Listing is midweek because after all – ‘What is a weekend?’
