Support life-saving research

Breast Cancer Trials is renowned globally for its pioneering research in breast cancer treatment and prevention. Their commitment to finding new therapies and improving outcomes for patients is unwavering. By taking part in the 100km in July Challenge, you directly contribute to funding these critical clinical trials. Every step you take and every dollar you raise helps bring us closer to a future where breast cancer is no longer a threat to our loved ones.

Last year’s challenge was a tremendous success, and this year, Breast Cancer Trials is excited to announce its return in 2024. Whether you choose to run or walk your way to 100 km, your efforts will make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer.

Heroes and Hope

Naomi is a breast cancer survivor who participated in last year’s challenge and was one of the top fundraisers, raising over $3,500. Her journey with breast cancer began at the young age of 40, following a family history marred by tragedy due to this disease. Naomi’s determination to protect her daughters from a similar fate fuels her passion for supporting Breast Cancer Trials.

“My worst nightmare is for breast cancer to strike my three beautiful daughters. Through research, we can make a future without this fear possible. That’s why I’m passionate about supporting Breast Cancer Trials,” says Naomi.

Her story underscores the urgency and impact of supporting initiatives like the 100km in July Challenge. It’s not just about physical endurance; it’s about solidarity, hope, and progress in the fight against breast cancer.

Lace-up and log on

Participating in the challenge is straightforward. Simply register on the Breast Cancer Trials website, create your fundraising page, and lace up your trainers. Upon registration, you’ll receive a welcome pack with essentials like a T-shirt and a kilometre tracker to monitor your progress. Additionally, you’ll gain access to a supportive community through the 100km Challenge Facebook group, where fellow participants will cheer you on every step of the way.

The funds raised will directly support Breast Cancer Trials’ clinical trials research, which tailors personalised treatments, enhances outcomes for metastatic patients, and explores prevention measures for those at high risk. So, your contribution isn’t just a donation. Ultimately, it’s also an investment that promises to shape a brighter future for breast cancer patients worldwide.
