Well, if you can believe it, Australian of the Year Dylan Alcott is adding yet another string to his packed bow. The former tennis champion is launching a lucrative new partnership with the iconic Australian winery Grant Burge as part of the ‘Leave Your Mark’ campaign.

Founded in 1865, Grant Burge, a Barossa stalwart has a long and storied history of impacting not only the winemaking community of the region but also and perhaps most importantly wine lovers around the world. They’ve been there for millions of little moments in the lives of generations of Australians, as we’ve celebrated, commiserated, and lived every shade of life in between. This campaign helps them recognise that impact and who better than the former tennis champion and champion of disability rights to help them do that?

The winery Grant Burge has a rich heritage in the Barossa dating back to 1865. Now it will be donating $2 from select wine bottle sales later this year to establish tertiary education scholarships with the Dylan Alcott Foundation

Brand manager Ellen Storey says, “At the heart of Leave Your Mark is the message that it’s not about our past achievements but what we are going to do next. We are thrilled to be working alongside Dylan Alcott to inspire all Australians to pursue their ambitions and leave their own mark, no matter how big or small.”

For Alcott, the idea of leaving your mark has defined his career. He explains, “To me, leaving your mark is all about being purpose driven and authentic; doing something meaningful that will have a positive influence. Whether that’s the conversations, relationships with the people around me or having a voice on the social issues that are important to me. Everyone has an opportunity in their own way to leave their mark and I think that is something special we should all embrace”.

To do that tangibly, Grant Burge is proud to support the Dylan Alcott Foundation, a charity founded by Alcott to support the aspirations and dreams of young people with disabilities. Grant Burge will be donating $2 from select wine bottle sales later this year to establish tertiary education scholarships in conjunction with the foundation across the country, eliminating barriers to education and providing future work opportunities for all Australians.
