After a “traumatic entrance” by her first-born, 60 Minutes reporter Allison Langdon says she’s loving every second of motherhood.

Allison and her husband Michael Willesee jnr. – son of current affairs legend Mike Willesee – welcomed their first child into the world, who they named Mack James Willesee.

The popular Channel 9 journalist shared her first thoughts on their bundle of joy with 9Honey, and also released never before seen pics.

“Mike and I are feeling overwhelmed with love for our little man. He had a traumatic entrance into this world but he’s a fighter and is now going strong,” Allison tells 9Honey.

“We find ourselves just staring at him, unable to believe we created this tiny human.”

“It’s amazing the emotions you feel, a love you can’t quite describe, protectiveness and fear. Besides the desire for a little more sleep, we wouldn’t change a thing.”

Allison, 37, also posted a photo of baby Mack on her own Instagram page.

She said: “Look what we made! Introducing Mack James Willesee. Delight by day, devil by night!! Overwhelmed with love #ourbabyboy.”

Friends and colleagues responded to the adorable post with their well-wishes.

“Wonderful news Ali! Mack is just divine! Big love to all of you xoxo,” writes fellow Nine reporter Davina Smith.

While journalist Leila McKinnon writes: “Oh bless his little heart. Well done and congratulations to you both.”

Allison and Michael Langdon wed in a private ceremony in Noosa in 2008.

In 2014, Allison admitted to Sunday Life that she and her husband’s busy work schedules meant starting a family wasn’t achievable just yet.

“We’ve been married long enough that people have stopped asking about when we’re having babies. You have to see each other to make babies,” she revealed at the time.
