The family that goes hiking together, stays together!
To celebrate her brother Oliver’s 40th birthday, uber-healthy Kate Hudson had mum Goldie, 70, join Oliver and friends on a 209km trek from Aspen to Crested Butte, a popular ski town in the Rocky Mountains.

The actress shared a photo with her mum on her Instagram account, with 70-year-old Goldie cycling behind her.
“Mama Goldie tearing up a single track! ❤️ #LoveMyMama #ProudDaughter,” she writes.
Kate, 37, and Oliver were “abandoned” by their biological dad Bill Hudson and raised by Goldie and her longtime love actor Kurt Russell since 1983.

The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress has previously revealed that that she and her brother both now have a sense of humour about it together.
“We can laugh at the challenges that we faced because of it … together,” she said.
“To be honest, our dad, who we don’t know very well, is really funny. So, it’s funny because, it’s a catch-22. There’s a part of that, our dad actually, from what I remember when we were younger, had a great sense of humour. When we laugh about our father, we go, ‘We probably got that from him’.”
Their tight-bond is clearly evident in a series of social media posts to mark Oliver’s recent milestone.
“One of the most beautiful hikes I’ve done. But as they say, it’s the people you share these moments with that make it so meaningful,” adds Kate on the special hiking holiday.

Kate has stayed close to her parents Goldie and Kurt. And this month she is starring in Deepwater Horizon with Russell, their first film together.
“Growing up watching him work, he’s such a pro and I think it was a great lesson for me when I was younger as to what kind of actress I wanted to be and the person on set I wanted to be,” Kate tells ET. “I just love everything he’s done.”
