There are some simple rules to live by and if you honestly stick with your nightly beauty routines, you can get the maximum benefits out of your rest time.

Famous beauty bloggers such as Annabelle Fleur, swear by these rituals. Help your skin and body by providing them with the care they need in order to recover during the night.

Beauty Blogger Sophia Smith talks us through her beauty rituals to live by.

Remove your makeup, cleanse and moisturise

This is a sacred rule for clear skin: never ever go to bed without removing your makeup! Use makeup removal tissues, special cleanser or micellar water. Make sure you’ve removed all of it: foundation, eye shadow, lipstick, mascara, and that your skin is perfectly clean. This is the backbone of any beauty rituals.

If you’re sloppy when it comes to makeup removal, you risk getting your pores clogged. Filth can cause blackheads to appear, it could lead to further skin health complications (such as acne), and it’s the number one reason of poor skin appearance.

After cleansing your face, apply a moisturizer. Your skin needs to be hydrated, but keep in mind your age and skin type when choosing a product. Beauty nightly rituals are crucial, but the right product choice is equally important.

Pay attention to the ingredients and the listed effects on the skin. Invest in trustworthy and reputable products, such as the French beauty formula Clarins Australia, which won the hearts of women all around the globe. They offer many products, including anti age Super Restorative Night Cream, which helps you with skin lifting and evening out your skin tone, and provides you with a radiant look in the morning.

Try a leave-on exfoliator

Exfoliating is extremely important in order to preserve healthy skin and avoid dull and tired look. By exfoliating, you remove the dead cells of your skin. This reveals young skin cells and enables the nutrients to penetrate your skin deeply.

A leave-on exfoliator is not the same as a regular facial scrub you use during the day. Leave on-exfoliators contain AHA and BHA acids that have an essential role in slowing down the aging process, by improving the density of collagen and elastic fibres. However, in order for these ingredients to do their magic, they have to stay on your face for a longer period of time, so use your sleep time and let your skin really soak everything in. Moderation is everything, though: make sure you don’t over-exfoliate your skin since it can cause counter effects (e.g. dry skin, redness, or broken blood vessels).

Use eye cream

The skin around the eyes is thin and fragile and needs special care.  Eye creams are usually thicker and different from regular hydrating skin products, when it comes to nutrients they contain. Choose the ones with the anti-ageing effect to prevent wrinkles and achieve the best results.

Get eight hours of sleep

Beauty sleep is a real thing: regular seven to nine hours of sleep every night ensures a healthy glowing appearance, good mood, and effective productivity throughout the day. During this rest period, your body slowly regenerates and works hard on repairing the damage your body has suffered from through the day. Try to maintain healthy sleeping habits and give your body a chance to relax.

Stick to these rituals in order to look and feel your best. Only by continuously taking care of your skin and body during the night, can you expect a healthy and beautiful appearance.
