If you’ve let your New Year’s resolutions slip, this Sunday’s new moon in Aries is an ideal time to start new habits, recommit to old ones or just blaze your way into your future with something new.

Following the eclipse on the 4th April which was all about finally letting go of the past or anything that’s weighing you down or preventing you from living in the now, this new moon is the perfect astrological chaser to create new beginnings once you’ve let go of the past.

New moons take place once a month when the Sun and the Moon are in the same areas of the sky. They’re perfect times to make wishes and set intentions and this month’s new moon takes place in the sign of Aries. As the first sign of the zodiac, it represents a new astrological year and is one of the most powerful times for new beginnings.

The energy of the new moon is strongest in the three days following, so it’s the best time to set intentions for starting something, hopes, dreams, wishes and anything that needs an astrological push in the right direction.
