Protein is not just for bodybuilders or blokes trying to “bulk.” Women need it too. And, whether you’re juggling a job, a workout, or just a toddler with strong opinions, getting enough protein helps keep your energy up, your cravings down, and your hair, skin and hormones happy. Experts say most women should aim for around 1.2–2.0g of protein per kilogram of body weight per day (depending on activity level), and starting your day strong makes it a whole lot easier to hit that goal. • 1 boiled egg, sliced (6g protein)
  • Handful of baby spinach or rocket (~1g protein)
  • Optional: capers, dill, lemon zest, cracked pepper
