The Australian Museum Is Providing Virtual Tours During COVID-19

The Australian Museum, the Sydney-based heritage-listed site, is home to some of the most fascinating facets of science, culture and nature all in one for Australians to enjoy. But since COVID-19 has put a stop to large social gatherings, tours at the museum have not been possible. The museum has ensured that the fun and learning remain accessible with its new portal ‘Australian Museum Inside Out’.

Recently, it launched its online accessibility via ‘Australian Museum Inside Out’ on their website which will include: virtual tours, online exhibitions, school resources, podcasts from scientists and other experts and more.

Whether it be for home-schooling or general curiosity, users will have access to the likes of 3D images of rare collections from ancient Egypt which they can twist and turn to see from different angles, witness birds-eye footage of daring expeditions, and learn of the latest in scientific research.
