Billie certainly did put the icing on the cake. The culinary queen has landed a bag full of goodies including $250,000 in cash, an Alfa Romeo car and a regular column in Delicious magazine. To fatten things up a bit, she was also offered a job by renowned international chef Heston Blumenthal, at his Fat Duck restaurant in the UK. More than 1.84 million viewers tuned in to watch 24-year-old Billie win the MasterChef finale for what must have seemed like the biggest feast in history – a five hour cooking challenge. Billie has landed a gig as a columnist for foodie mag Delicious, who were quick to congratulate their new colleague on their Twitter account. “Congrats @billie_mckay15! Deserving winner of #MasterchefAU. See her 1st column with delicious. In our October issue.”
@billie_mckay15 Humble as pie, the announcement was overwhelming for the kitchen wiz. Billie posted on her Instagram account: “Ohhh my gosh!! AND OH MY GOSH THE FAT DUCK!” Will she take the gig? Her post has attracted more than 8000 Likes with overwhelmingly positive messages from fans.

When the piece de resistance was unveiled and Billie was announced MasterChef winner 2015? Billie chose these images to sum it up. “WHAT! This is EPIC!” she wrote. “Heston! Hes-ton! The look on my face says it all! Safe to say I’m dying on the inside.”
It was a hot competition with super talented foodies battling it out. Before the show, @georgiabarnesau posted this: “Here we go girls – it’s here! MasterChef Australia 2015 Grand Final begins 7.30pm tonight on Ten.”
