I am fastidious about protecting and nourishing my skin in the hotter months.
So I hit the shops to see what is new to give skin that extra protection. I am in the perfect state to really test drive current products and there is a rich choice to pick from. So here are my favourites.
FACE
No doubt our skin reacts to the cold, the dehydrating effects of indoor heating and needs a little help when those inevitable sniffles sets in. Beyond our regular skin care a little nurturing makes all the difference.
Wild Rose Advanced Brightening & Nourishing Face Oil – by Korres RRP $75.00
This Wild Rose Face Oil is a beautiful treatment oil with rose petals visibly steeping in the infusion.
Wow, it is such an instant pick me up. It is a light emulsion that absorbs quickly. Light yet rich in antioxidants and powered with vitamin C to soften lines and boost radiance. It smells like a decadent armful of red roses. My skin felt plumb, soft and restored even though I was on the end of a head cold and feeling a little off. This is a great investment for your winter skin.
LIPS
Hourglass Girl Lip Stylo $46.00
I was delighted to find this gorgeous tinted lip-softening blend of shea butter, mimosa and sunflower seed. So if you love a lip-gloss but prefer the longevity and coverage of a lipstick, this is the answer. Colours range from gorgeous nudes through to strikingly bold hues.
BODY
Elixir Body Oil – by Mecca Cosmetica $60
We do tend to focus on looking after our face, neck and hands. No surprises here. These are parts of the body that show ageing. Why not treat all your body with a treatment blend chock full of goodies?
