“Real game Changers want to build a legacy,” said Nick from Afterpay.

In his interview with Edwina, he explains the business and budgeting sense behind Afterpay – the award-winning FinTech company he co-founded – and why the ‘Shop now. Take now. Pay it in 4.’ movement is all about responsible spending.

Louise Troen from the women’s social networking site Bumble

Louise described a Game Changer as someone who typically spends time ‘identifying an issue or problem in society, addressing it and building a business to fix it.”

And that’s what her company set about doing.

In her interview with Edwina, she explains how the platform has grown organically to include other forms of connecting, the philosophy has continued to be one of ‘women supporting women’ under an umbrella of kindness, respect and integrity.

With female users of the dating app discovering there were so many like-minded people on the platform, they called for a community where friendships are created and Bumble BFF was born! User demand struck again when those friendships started generating business connections and Bumble Bizz became the spot to expand your network and make empowering career moves.

Andy Ridley, founder of Citizens of The Great Barrier Reef

Describing his view of how a Game Changer behaves, Andy said: “You must be thinking outside of the box and beyond the norm.”

He certainly did that when he launched  Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef   last year in a move to focus on the future of the natural wonder of our beautiful reef and make sure the world isn’t giving up on its future.

Christine Kinninmonth, co-founder of Fertile Mind

Christine says a Game Changer is someone who has a strong vision. “They look at the world as if it is their oyster and they think globally , they dot think locally  ….I would say that is a game changer,” she said.

Christine’s first ever invention, BellyBelt®, came from her Earth-friendly mantra of Refuse, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle.

Fertile Mind’s range now includes ethical Fair Trade, environmentally-friendly, organic and sustainable products for mindful mothers. Breastfeeding and baby-wearing are core to this mindfulness, and so the range includes nursing pillows to help with correct breastfeeding attachment, and the iconic Hug-a-Bub baby carrier, described in media as a “must have cult product for mums”.

Sweep’s Chief and Product Growth Officer Mez Gallifuoco and CTO Michael Cerbara from Sweep, the new Augmented Reality app, said that a Game Changer should be someone who was disruptive, curious and a little bit cheeky.

“It’s someone who is willing to look at something in a new way,” said Mez. “Also being a bit cheeky – you’ve really got to challenge the status quo,” added Michael.

Sweep is the innovative new app transforming how we interact with the people and world around us. The new free app is enabling users to access exclusive location-based chats, messaging and AR (augmented reality).
