The World Wildlife Fund-Australia (WWF) and Tasmanian Walking Company (TWC) have collaborated to launch the Walk for Wild fundraising event – the largest landscape regeneration program in Australia’s history.

The earlier bushfires of 2019-2020 severely impacted Australia’s wildlife and habitats. Walk for Wild aims to get Australia back on its feet by regenerating and restoring its environment.

Any individual who donates will get the opportunity to experience Australia’s beautiful wilderness, up close and personal.

“Walk for Wild is an exciting opportunity for people to enjoy the health and wellbeing benefits of walking in Australia’s remote wilderness areas while at the same time knowing the full purchase price of their walk is contributing to this incredible conservation effort,” said Brett Godfrey, co-owner of Tasmanian Walking Company.

During this experience, walkers will be educated on the importance of sustainability and conservation as they soak in the scintillating sights. Through these support projects, the hope is for people to be able to ‘enjoy Australia’s incredible natural environment’ in the future.

‘Eco-tourism, when mindful and well-managed, can have a huge positive impact for people and nature,’ Godfrey adds. So, what are you waiting for? Click here to book one of the four Walk for Wild experiences departing 8 October 2021.
