Her TV character Haley Dunphy may struggle with holding down one job, but it seems Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland is spoiled for career choice.

The 25-year-old has fans in a frenzy after she teamed up with one of her favourite bands Boyce Avenue to cover The Chainsmokers’ hit single Closer.

At the time of writing, the YouTube clip had been viewed more than 3.7 million times.

For Sarah, who takes over Halsey’s vocals in the original, the collaboration is a “dream come true”.

Boyce Avenue recently released their Cover Collaborations EP, which featured another duet with Sarah, on Maroon 5‘s latest single Don’t Wanna Know.

Sarah thanked Boyce Avenue on Twitter, saying she’s “been dreaming of doing this since I was 19 years old!”

The Chainsmokers also tweeted to both Sarah and Boyce Avenue after hearing the duet. “Hey @Sarah_Hyland and @boyceavenue you sound awesome!” the EDM duo wrote. “So cool y’all did that.”

Sarah’s TV uncle Cam (Eric Stonestreet) on Modern Family also tweeted about the video (and the actresses’ penchant for singing on set).

Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez all started out on TV before trading their sitcom scripts for microphones — and it looks like the Modern Family star might be following suit.

This multi-talented gal will reportedly star in the classic film Dirty Dancing where she will play as Lisa (Bob’s older sister).

With her now so entrenched as Hayley, it’s easy to forget that Taylor Swift’s bestie was first seen on TV in the remake of Annie.

She also did a splendid singing and stage acting in 2014’s Broadway show, The Unauthorized Musical Parody of Scream. In a video posted in Cinemablend, the actress showed off her high notes in the rendition of Bob Dylan’s Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.
