Even better, your little one doesn’t need to be able to sing, or even string a sentence together!

“A key aspect of our method is that the child does not need to be able to sing,” explains owner Ken Francis, one of Australia’s most-experienced musicians, who is successful as a session guitarist, composer and music producer. “If a kid can get speak even basic words, we can make a beautiful song out of it. We have professional music software and ‘backroom wizards’ who wonderfully tweak and tinker with the recorded voices to create the end product which is a high-quality recording of the song with all the natural cuteness of the little one intact. To me, that beautiful little personality ‘in’ the voice is one of the most wonderful things in the world!”

But what do kid’s think? We spoke to Ava, 4, who rocked a session at LittleSings…

So Ava, what song did you choose?

“Do you want to build a Snowman? Of course!”

Was it fun?

“Yes it was really exciting and it was heaps of fun! I got to sing into a sparkly microphone and the lady sang with me, then I had to copy her. Then I got to draw pictures and get my photo taken.”

What were the producers and musicians like to work with?

“The lady was very nice and she was a good singer and helped me sing all the words. They were super friendly, like Anna from Frozen! I really liked them. They could be my new BFF for sure.”

What were some of the highlights?

“I got to sing one of my favourite songs. The lady showed me what my voice looks like on the computer. It was small when I was quiet and big when I was loud. I love the recorder they gave me at the end too. Mum wasn’t as big a fan of the recorder though…!”

Would you do it again?

“Yep! I want to do it again so I can sing Katy Perry’s Roar.”

What do you want me to be when you grow up?

“I want to be Elsa from Frozen.”

What are you going to do with your song?

“I’m going to dance to it and play it for my friends at school. Mummy wants to give Grandma and Nana a copy of my song for Christmas.”

Any Diva words of wisdom?

“I love Elsa and Anna. Singing is fun.”
