This is What You’ll Find in Australia’s Number One Selling Foundation (And What You Most Definitely Won’t)

Powder foundation has long been the problem child of the makeup world. Hands up who’s given it a chance, thinking it was going to give them that smooth, soft-focus finish, only to end up looking like a poorly iced sponge cake. Dry, cakey, flat… and clinging to fine lines? And so, it’s no surprise that many of us quietly stashed our compacts in the back of the drawer and went full tilt into the era of dewy skin tints, glowy balms and radiant serums masquerading as foundation.

But one powder product is flipping the script – and converting even the most devoted liquid foundation loyalists. Meet Nude by Nature’s Natural Mineral Cover, a radiant loose powder foundation that’s not only Australia’s number one seller, but also the powder that’s making everyone rethink everything they thought they knew about mineral makeup.

First off, let’s address the powder panic. Yes, it’s a loose powder. But no, it’s not dusty. Or drying. Or heavy. In fact, most people who try it are shocked at just how light it feels. That’s probably why you’ll now find it all over TikTok and in pro makeup kits, praised for doing the seemingly impossible: offering coverage that looks like actual skin.

So, what’s the secret? Well, it’s less about what it covers. (Although it does that brilliantly – bye pigmentation and redness!). And, more about what it doesn’t do. It doesn’t cling. It doesn’t cake. And, it won’t leave your face feeling shrink-wrapped in matte. Instead, it melts in like a second skin – radiant, breathable, and beautifully buildable.

You’ll love the feather-light texture and satin radiant finish (read: glowy without glitter). You can dial the coverage up or down depending on your mood—just dust it on for that “my skin but smoother” vibe, or buff it in for full-coverage days when you want a flawless finish that still feels filter-free.

And, while it might sound like magic, the formula actually leans on some very real, skin-loving ingredients. Think:

  • Jojoba Esters, which soften and nourish
  • Kaolin Clay to keep shine in check and extend wear time
  • Kakadu Plum – the world’s richest source of Vitamin C—to boost radiance and protect against environmental stressors
  • Oh, and it also has SPF 15.

What’s not inside is just as important: no talc, no parabens, no silicones, no bismuth and no fragrance.
In fact, almost every other ingredient that wouldn’t pass dermatologist testing, and suitability for sensitive skins (which this one does with flying colours), is out of the list.

It’s also non-comedogenic, cruelty-free and a proud clean beauty icon that has been loved for over a decade.

Which goes some way towards explaining why one Natural Mineral Cover is sold every two minutes in Australia, with top-selling status in Chemist Warehouse, Priceline and other leading pharmacies.

Using it couldn’t be simpler either. Just grab your favourite fluffy powder brush, dip it into the mesh sifter, tap off the excess and buff it onto your skin in light, circular motions. Start in the centre and blend outwards – and don’t shelve any dramas about doing it wrong. This isn’t the kind of powder that doesn’t demand perfection, and is actually more forgiving than JLo and Ben Affleck.

So if you’ve sworn off powders in favour of glowy creams or barely-there tints, it might be time to take a second look. Because, while some foundations are about covering up, Natural Mineral Cover is all about letting your skin shine through. Just a little more evenly.
