Move over microtrends! Vintage fashion is having its main character moment. And, looking as fabulous as the blazer coats, collarless jackets and shearling throws spotted on the catwalks of Australian Fashion Week 2025.

As the annual showcase of all things style turned heads and hems in the Harbour City this week, Espolon Tequila and Second Life Markets also teamed up to throw a stylish curveball into the mix: an archive pop-up that proves fashion can be fabulous and planet-friendly.

Held inside the industrial-chic Machine Hall Sydney in the days before the official fashion frenzy kicked off, the Original Archive Sale Pop-Up was a love letter to secondhand style. A curated collection of rare vintage treasures, each piece came with its own story – from the actual trousers worn by Foxy Brown in the Thong Song music video to buttery Prada FW98 Nappa leather boots that screamed strut!

Fashion collectors Lillian Scott and Michelle King of Evoiia delivered the goods (and then some), and the vibe was pure creative chaos – in the best way. With a tequila in hand, Sydneysiders styled their new vintage finds with modern staples, creating eye-catching, eco-conscious looks that turned the sustainability conversation from lecture to lewk.

Australian Second Hand Markets

And, it’s not just the shoppers getting behind Australian Second Hand Markets. Sustainable fashion was front and centre on the Australian Fashion Week runways too, with designers showcasing recycled fabrics, deadstock materials, and upcycled couture. The message? Fashion doesn’t have to be fast to be fierce.

With over 80% of Australians now buying pre-loved fashion, the Espolòn x Second Life Markets collab is a toast to individuality, creativity, and the idea that rewearing, repurposing and reimagining what’s already in circulation isn’t just good for the planet – it’s undeniably chic.

Missed the first pop-up of these fab Australian Second Hand Markets? Don’t fret – your secondhand fashion salvation is coming. The next stop on this sustainable fashion tour is 7 June at Young Husband in Melbourne. And so, whether you’re hunting for archive gems or just vibing with the conscious fashion crowd, this is your invite to get vintage with it.

Sustainably sipping and styling? We’re so here for it.
