The Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix 2025 is set to be a scorcher – both on the track and in the grandstands. While the world’s fastest drivers battle for the chequered flag, there’s another kind of race happening trackside: the race to protect your skin. La Roche-Posay, in partnership with Skin Check Champions, is making sure fans don’t burn rubber – or their skin – by offering complimentary skin checks and sunscreen throughout the Grand Prix weekend (March 13–16). With Australia holding one of the highest skin cancer rates in the world, the La Roche-Posay x Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix pit stop for your skin is just as crucial as any tyre change!

Sun safety at full throttle

Whether you’re a die-hard racing fan or just here for the vibes (and maybe a celebrity spotting or two), there’s no excuse to ignore sun safety. The UV index is set to hit high gear, meaning sunscreen isn’t just recommended – it’s essential. Lucky for racegoers, La Roche-Posay will be on-site, ready to keep your skin in pole position with free sunscreen samples and expert skin checks.

Last year, dermatologists conducted over 1,000 skin checks at the Grand Prix, flagging 233 suspicious lesions and identifying 83 potential skin cancers. For some, that quick pit stop may have been life-saving. Just ask Formula 1 fan Mark Noble. After getting a check at last year’s event, he discovered a melanoma that might have otherwise gone unnoticed. “This skin check saved my life,” he said.

No excuses … just action

The best part? You don’t even have to book in advance. Just stroll over to the La Roche-Posay and Skin Check Champions pop-up between 10:00am–5:00pm on Thursday or 9:00am–5:00pm from Friday to Sunday. But if you like to plan ahead (because nobody likes unnecessary pit lane drama), you can secure your spot online.

So, while the drivers focus on staying out of the gravel trap, make sure you’re not falling into a sunburn trap. Slip, slop, slap, and speed over to the La Roche-Posay x Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix skin check clinic – you’ll leave with peace of mind and maybe even a bottle of their legendary sunscreen. Now that’s what we call a winning formula!
