Seeing Stripes: Sally Hansen Nails The Look At Tanya Taylor

Based on the fashion designer’s fascination with Kenya, Tanzania and Morocco, Sally Hansen Global Colour Ambassador Madeleine Poole created a manicure that echoed the Masai jewellery seen in these African communities.

“There are four different nail looks for this show, where three are a variation of stripes, and one is a sheer nail using Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Arm Candy,” said Poole.

“Each girl’s look is based on what they’re wearing – some girls have more outrageous outfits so they get a sheer nail, some are wearing brighter colours so they have navy on their nails, and those wearing darker outfits have red on their nails.”

Swap jewellery for nail art? We’ll commit to that.

“I think it’s also necessary to keep the nails short and rounded, especially for the sheer nail as it needs to look neat and clean,” continued Poole. “It’s definitely the thing right now, it’s not so much about longer talons anymore.”
