Lindy Klim Shares Her Enviable Lifestyle, Fave Fashion Buys and More

A casual scroll through Instagram revealed much more about Lindy than a pretty face. She seems to have it all: a beautiful family home in Bali, incredible dress-sense that dances between feminine and fashion-forward, a holistic lifestyle, and a beauty brand that’s stocked globally.

A typical day in Bali…

I feel very blessed to be able to have our family home in Bali, there is something so magical about the island and as a family I find it’s where we all truly connect and love spending our time together. Our children attend the Green School in Ubud, which is wonderful – parents are encouraged to attend the classes with their children, so Michael and I will often go and spend the day learning with the kids! My family is in Bali and we have so many friends there, so for us it’s paradise!

My fitness regime is…

I definitely think that I train harder than Michael. We are very competitive. We share a personal trainer and box, run and cycle at the gym and I also practice Yoga and Pilates as often as I can.

My diet…

I like to eat raw, organic food and in Bali it’s very easy to do this. I definitely feel much healthier when I’m at home in Bali. I’m not strict with my diet but I do like to feel like I’m nourishing my body from the inside. I really enjoy cooking when I’m in Bali too and have learnt so much from the Balinese they’re incredible with simple recipes that taste amazing!

The three beauty products I can’t live without…

I feel so lucky to have our family home in Bali and still be able to spend the time that I need to in Sydney and Melbourne and other cities around the world for our business. I definitely believe that living in Bali contributes to the health and wellness of my family. For me, being in the ocean, eating clean organic food and taking the time to practice yoga and meditation in Bali shows on the outside with healthy skin. I love to use Rosehip oil and sometimes mix it with my Milk by Lindy Klim Ultra Light Face Moisturiser if I’ve been travelling and need extra hydration. I cannot live without my Milk by Lindy Klim Beauty Wipes, Chanel Hydra Beauty Essence Mist helps to energise my skin when I’m on an international flight, or in front of the laptop for hours, which is often! And I wear Portrait of a Lady by Frederic Malle almost everyday.

But my favourite Milk product of all time is…

I love all of the products in the Milk & Co range but if I had to choose a favourite it would definitely be my Milk by Lindy Klim Beauty Wipes – it took me a long time to develop the Beauty Wipes because I wanted them to be exfoliating and cleansing. I think that the Milk by Lindy Klim Beauty Wipes are perfect for removing make-up, a quick cleanse before and post gym workout, after a swim at the beach, freshening up throughout the day and I will not board an international flight without them!

My favourite beauty rituals…

I love all of the traditional Balinese remedies that the Balinese use for their skin and body treatments. I’m trying to follow more of the Balinese philosophies in the creation of new products for my Milk & Co range, so at the moment I’m treating myself to as many Balinese beauty treatments as I can!

My best beauty advice…

I learnt the importance of looking after my skin when I was modeling, so I’m quite disciplined when it comes to my beauty routine, I cleanse and moisturise morning and night but I like the process to be very simple and quick! I always wear sunscreen and I’m conscious of eating well and nourishing my skin from the inside. I like to drink cold pressed juices and always look forward to an Orchard Street Juice Cleanse when I’m in Sydney working – the juices are delicious.

My fashion sense…

I love clothes and I love to have fun with fashion. My style is very relaxed when I’m at home in Bali, it’s a little more 70’s hippie vs. how I dress when I’m in Australia or travelling in Europe or America, which is much more considered! I always dress for myself and I know what works for me. I like to play with masculine feminine and mix things up combining international luxury labels with my favourite Australian Designers.

My favourite fashion labels…

Amongst my favourite Australian labels are Ellery, Maticevski, Strateas Carlucci, Scanlan & Theodore, Viktoria + Wood and bassike. I love Isabel Marant, Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent and Celine. Internationally I love Saint Laurent, Céline and Marni, they make women feel great.

My advice to mums that struggle to eat well and exercise while being so busy with kids…

I think it’s so important to just do what you can without comparing yourself to anyone else. I’m very lucky to have an incredible support network with my family in Bali and Michael’s family when we are back in Australia but it can still be so hard to squeeze everything into my schedule, so my advice to other Mums is to just do what they can even if it’s as simple as green juice in the morning and a walk each day.
