A marriage announcement was placed in a British newspaper beneath the names Mr JS von Sasse and Miss KA Minogue.
It read: “The engagement is announced between Joshua, son of the late Dominic Sasse and of Mary Heale (nee Macauley), of Herefordshire, and Kylie, eldest daughter of Ronald and Carol Minogue, of Melbourne, Australia.”
A beaming Kylie sent engagement rumours into overdrive when she stepped out on the red carpet at the NME Awards in London wearing a giant new rock on her ring finger. She was there to present Coldplay with the Godlike Genius award and wowed in a short, white floral dress with sheer sleeves.
“Should we be congratulating you?? That sparker!” one fan commented on Facebook. Another asked: “Wedding ring?”
Joshua is believed to have proposed during the Christmas holiday period.
“Joshua recently told pals that he was ready to propose after finding the woman of his dreams and had planned the whole trip so no-one is shocked to see Kylie return back to London with a ring on her finger,” says one report.
News of the engagement has sent the Twitter-verse into overdrive, with an outpouring of support for the unlucky in love Kylie.
She was with French actor Olivier Martinez from 2003-2007, but broke up with him while still battling breast cancer, and later had a serious relationship with model Andres Velencoso from 2008-13.
Kylie met Joshua on the set of television show Galavant, while shooting a guest role in 2015, and the pair has been inseparable ever since.
“I think the general consensus is, we kind of look right together. So even on paper it might not look right, it just is,” says Kylie.
“He is an absolutely brilliant, brilliant guy. And even if I try and act cool and natural, it’s written all over my face that I am very happy.”
