High Tea In The Stables At Beautiful Gooree Park in Mudgee

https://vimeo.com/111478674

Just ten minutes from Mudgee in the Heart of New South Wales, Gooree Park is one of the region’s most historic and picturesque properties. This Stud and Vineyard combined produces both champions of the track and a wide range of award-winning wines. There’s no doubting Gooree’s thoroughbred credentials.

Much-loved Aussie cook Lyndey Milan recently visited for the day and our camera was hot on her heels. Lyndey’s first stop is the Stables – not to check out the four-legged champions but to sit beneath the chandeliers and sample the bubbles made from Gooree Park’s very own vineyards.

High Tea In The Stables is a big event here, featuring locally-sourced produce – just check out the spread in this video!  The tea-time entertainment includes fashion and makeup demonstrations, art and craftwork exhibitions and (this could be the best bit) a goodie-bag to take home.

This is just one of decadent events held at Gooree Park. Watch the video to see what you’re missing out on, plus these other events:

  • Melbourne Cup at Gooree Park
  • Wine and Stud Tours
  • Bubbly Breakfast at the Track
  • Wine and Wagyu BBQ

Gooree Park was established by Lloyd Foyster (below) in 1963 as a thoroughbred horse stud where he bred multiple group one winners including Ming Dynasty and Mighty Kingdom – winners of three Caulfield Cups in four years. Lloyd built a dam with a three mile circumference and a world class racecourse with a longer straight than Randwick where he trained his horses. He later sold the property to the Cojuanco family, who own the property today.
