Katherine Sabbath’s Puff Pastry Christmas Tree With Nutella

Nutella and Katherine Sabbath. Name a more iconic duo… We’ll wait! While the classic chocolate spread and quirky queen of cakes individually need little introduction, this year they’ve come together to create something truly special in this show-stopping recipe for a festive (and delicious) Puff Pastry Christmas Tree with Nutella!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 sheet of Pampas puff pastry
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 60g Nutella for decorating
  • Seasonal fruit for decorating, like raspberries, mango, rockmelon, blueberries

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C
  2. Lay out one sheet of Pampas puff pastry on a strip of baking paper
  3. Cut a Christmas Tree shape into the sheet of puff pastry
  4. Cut short branches into the tree, using the trunk as a guide. Twist the branches away from you
  5. Mix the egg yolk and milk together and brush the tree with the mixture
  6. Bake the pastry for 12-15 minutes, let it cool and decorate with Nutella using a piping bag
  7. For an extra festive look, decorate your Puff Pastry Christmas Tree with Nutella with with bright coloured, seasonal fruit like raspberries, mango ,blueberries, and rockmelon.
