This Japanese Nashi Pear Cocktail Is Perfect For Sunny Spring Days

Australians hardly need an excuse to order a cocktail, but longer days, warmer nights and a calendar full of Spring entertaining certainly help.

This season, it’s all about giving familiar serves a fresh twist, with unexpected ingredients and brighter flavours making their way onto cocktail menus. One of the most refreshing examples is this Pearls of Tokyo cocktail. Featuring Ukiyo Japanese Nashi Pear Gin (which combines the fruit with botanicals including juniper, yuzu and shiso leaf) as well as elderflower liqueur and lime before being lengthened with soda water, the result is drink that’s it’s crisp, light and made for sipping in the sunshine.light enough for a sunny afternoon.   1. Add the Ukiyo Nashi Pear Gin, elderflower liqueur and fresh lime juice to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a glass over fresh ice.
  4. Top with soda water and serve.
