Dress-Up For Loud Shirt Day & Support Deaf & Hearing-Impaired Children

Pack away your boring business gear and pop on your loudest, brightest, glariest shirt for charity – it’s dress-ups with a conscience!

Raid your Dad’s closest and throw on one of his brightest, most embarrassing numbers for Loud Shirt Day on October 17th, 2014. The Shepherd Centre, a NSW-based charity helping deaf and hearing-impaired children learn, hear and speak, is calling on NSW and ACT residents to swap their nine-to-five gear for their loudest shirts on Loud Shirt Day, and help raise awareness and funds to support deaf and hearing impaired kids across Australia. The centre hopes to combat the three in 1000 children diagnosed with significant hearing loss by the time they reach high school, and give the many mums, dads and children hope.

The Shepherd Centre staff and attendees wear their fave loud shirts for Loud Shirt Day.

Registrations for fundraising are now open for 2014 and all funds raised support The Shepherd Centre’s early intervention Auditory-Verbal-Therapy (AVT) programs, where children are taught to listen and speak. Visit the website and register your fundraising event. Your can also invite friends, family, neighbours and work colleagues support the event through participation and donations by sharing the LoudShirtDay Facebook with #loudshirtday.
