Priceline Sisterhood

Priceline Sisterhood started in 2010 and gives back to five different charity partners to help raise money for women suffering from serious illnesses and health problems. 100% of the donations raised through the Priceline sisterhood go straight to the charities.

The charities they support are PANDA – the Post and Antenatal Depression Association, Children First – who since 1999 have brought more than
300 seriously ill or injured children to Australia for life-changing surgery, Alzheimer’s Australia – a charity for people with dementia and their families and carers, Hear to Listen – a program that works with students of an Aboriginal background to help them overcome the issues they face in managing their hearing loss and teaching them to use their residual hearing to learn to listen and to speak and finally Look Good Feel Better – is dedicated to teaching cancer patients how to manage the appearance-related side-effects caused by cancer treatment.

You can donate online, in-store or over the phone, however for a limited time only, selected products available through Priceline are donating a portion of each purchase to the sisterhood. Including household brands such as Garnier, L’Oreal and Swisse.

Emu x WaterAid

Emu Australia has joined forces with WaterAid to increase access to safe water and to improve sanitation and hygiene projects in some of the world’s poorest and most marginalised communities.

The brand has released a collection of boots ‘Waterproof 4 WaterAid’ where all of the shoes in the range are waterproof and from each purchase a donation is made to support the work of WaterAid.

A staggering 650 million in the world people live without safe drinking water. WaterAid is on a mission to provide better sanitation and access to clean water to as many people as they can, especially given around 900 children under the age of five die every day from drinking dirty water and poor sanitation.

EMU Australia’s partnership with WaterAid will impact on-going WaterAid projects such as the one in Papua New Guinea, where 16 communities and villages will be supported by providing 12 x 1,000 gallon rainwater tanks to the remote villages (one per village) in the West Sepik Province.

The partnership will also impact the project in Timor-Leste, providing three communities with sustainable access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.

Check out the Waterproof 4 WaterAid collection of EMU boots here.

TOMS x One For One

Probably one of the most well-known philanthropists is the company Toms, where its one for one project is dedicated to changing people’s lives through providing shoes, sight, water, safe birth and bullying prevention services to people in need. It all started with their shoes but now the company has expanded and through every item purchased a percentage goes towards helping a person in need.

By buying Toms eyewear money will be donated to help individuals by providing sight-saving surgery, prescription glasses or medical treatment.

Purchases through their roasting coffee company goes towards providing water systems and access to safe water in the seven countries where they source their coffee beans from.

Donations from purchases of their bags go towards supporting safe births, through training and supplies for women who don’t have access to safe birth.

Each purchase of TOMs Highroad backpack collection goes towards training of school staff and crisis counselors to help prevent and respond to cases of bullying.

You can find out more and shop online TOMs products here.
