Massey Greene has six new Premium cabins located on the far NSW North Coast and Anne Foyster stayed at the waterside retreat in Brunswick Heads, a popular destination to relax in the Byron Shire.

Brunswick Heads is often the forgotten sister of Byron Bay but there is no doubt there is plenty on offer at this magical seaside haven.

For me, it was the chance to relax and soak up the sun and enjoy it all from the new premium Reflections Holiday Park.

On entrance to the Massey Greene cabin you are immediately struck by the layout which is beautiful, very functional and appealing with plenty of room, perfect for the family or friends trip, with direct waterfront access.

I woke up to the spectacular view of the crystal waters, which was very calming, the deck was spacious and had  plenty of room, and there is ample room for entertaining with your family and friends, or just unwinding and relaxing.

The Park itself has a particularly scenic location and it was lovely to see some young family’s and also older generations enjoying themselves together. They have the powered or unpowered sites, a playground and a BBQ.

The cabins available have plenty of room, the main bedroom has a super comfy king size bed an ensuite with a shower and a bathroom. The second bedroom had two bunks, or you can opt for two single beds. Overall you really do have the feeling of being home away from home with all the mod cons, plenty of space to cook up a feast either inside or outside on the BBQ overlooking the Brunswick river.

Gazing out at the water is extremely relaxing and reconnecting with nature reinvigorated me, the sunsets were spectacular, and just watching the skies fade from the sun to pink bursts of cloud was satisfying after a day out exploring the many sights. There’s plenty of bush walks, kayaking and lolling on the beach or swimming in the river, and there were plenty of young children jumping off the bridge into the river.

If you prefer to eat out you really are spoilt for choice, check out the local Dining Out Guide, there are many options, catering for all tastes. We dined at the TomTom Thai and had one of the chef’s signature dishes, the Fish of the day – whole Snapper cooked to perfection topped with their famous dry curry sauce and crispy Basil, it was amazing!

Reflections Holiday Parks at Massey Greene is situated in a small quaint and serene place with a lot of hidden treasures for all ages. You can take your young children on a Fairy Trail, a journey through magical fairy houses right in town!

We strolled along the river and visited the local boutique stores and the famous Brunswick pub is a must and often has great musical performers play there. It’s worth watching out for the community events, and the local icon Brunswick Picture House is the cutest cinema I’ve ever been to. My tip is to browse through the local Echo paper to ensure you don’t miss out on what the vibrant Brunswick community is offering up.

You really are spoilt for choice as to what to explore, visiting the pristine beaches and it’s the perfect spot for whale watching during May to November during migration season.

I highly recommend a visit to Reflections Holiday Parks at Massey Greene, it’s the ideal family destination!
