If you thought papaya, pomegranate, mango, and pumpkin were best enjoyed in a tropical smoothie, think again. Because, my skin recently just drank them up in an indulgent OCosmedics facial. Spotlighting the Oxygenating Enzyme Peel – an instant pick me up to awaken, renew and smooth all skin types, even the most tired of skins – this treatment promised hydration, renewal, and a radiant glow, and let me tell you, it delivered. Under the TLC of my lovely therapist Michelle, my skin went from “meh” to “magnificent” in under an hour. And, I’ve never felt more like such a fruity beauty (in the freshest way!)

Cleansing is queen

My experience with the O Cosmedics in clinic treatment started with a double cleanse, which is skin care speak for “let’s get that face seriously clean.” First up was an oil cleanse, which melted away every trace of makeup and impurities while keeping my skin’s moisture barrier intact. Then came the exfoliating cleanser, a gentle yet effective physical scrub that polished my skin like a jewel and helped remove any lingering congestion. I was also given this one to use at home – because clearly, my skin deserves VIP treatment every week.

Next was a Micellar Cleansing Gel. This acted as a balancing toner to hydrate and refresh my skin before the main event: the Oxygen Enzyme Peel.

Now, if you’ve never experienced an oxygenating facial treatment, let me paint a picture. It’s warm, it tingles (but in a good way), and it feels like your skin is taking its first deep breath in years. This peel is packed with fruit enzymes from papaya, pumpkin, and pomegranate, working overtime to exfoliate, plump, and breathe new life into dull skin. The result? Instant radiance.

After wiping away the peel, my skin was treated to a luxurious Rescue Post Serum, packed with hydrating and anti-ageing ingredients. This serum was like a tall glass of water for my face, restoring and soothing my fresh, glowing skin.

On your masks, get set, glow!

Then came the Brightening Alginate Mask, aka the one I took an obligatory selfie with. This thick, cooling mask was the perfect follow-up to the enzyme peel, helping to calm, refresh, and tighten my pores. It also gave my skin a lifted, plumped-up effect, which I happily welcomed.

Oh, and let’s not forget the massage. As the mask worked its magic, I enjoyed a blissful facial massage to slow my mind and melt away tension. At this point, I wasn’t sure if I was in a spa or floating on a cloud.

Facing facts

So would I dedicate a precious hour of my week to do it all again? Absolutely, without hesitation. This facial was everything I needed and more. Hydrating, plumping, smoothing, and utterly relaxing. My skin felt baby-soft, looked incredibly radiant, and had a glow that lasted for days. Plus, knowing that I could take home the exfoliating cleanser meant I could keep the results going.

So, if your skin is craving a little TLC and you want to feel like you just returned from a tropical escape, this is the treatment for you. Smoothie ingredients have never looked (or felt) so good on the skin!
