Introducing the Naomi Campbell Timerland Campaign
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

To a generation of the young women, Naomi Campbell was one of the original supermodels. Runway royalty with a reputation for being both a diva who broke both stereotypes of beauty and the law.(Google: Rage incident for reference). And, while the gorgeous glamazon has largely stopped strutting her stuff for big name fashion designers, her latest collaboration with Timberland Boots is proof that she can still step up when required!

Timberland’s new “Iconic” campaign celebrates their legendary Original Yellow Boot, and who better to front it than Queen Campbell? Shot by British photographer Jamie Morgan, who first photographed her in 1984, Naomi appears wearing nothing but the boots – emphasising the campaign’s message of bold self-expression and authenticity. It’s classic Naomi: fearless, unapologetic, and timeless, much like the boots themselves.

Introducing the Naomi Campbell Timerland Campaign

For decades, Timberland’s Original Yellow Boot has been synonymous with durability and style. First released in 1973, these boots were designed for practical purposes – tough enough to withstand harsh New England weather. But, as is often the case with iconic items, they transcended their original function. By the 1990s, they had become a staple in hip-hop and streetwear culture. Today, they continue to straddle both fashion and function, worn by construction workers and fashionistas alike.

Timberland’s “Iconic” campaign brings together Naomi Campbell, singer-songwriter Teddy Swims, artist Slawn, and model-poet Kai-Isaiah Jamal to celebrate the brand’s enduring legacy. Yet, it’s Naomi who steals the spotlight. In her photo, the boots are the only thing she wears, underscoring the enduring allure of the Original Yellow Boot. Timberland chose to focus on her because, like the boots, Naomi has never been confined by expectations. She’s fearless, original, and above all, authentic.

The Naomi Campbell Timberland parternshship is truly one of those rare items that truly fits like a glove. Or, rather, a boot. An embodiment of both hard and high fashion. As Timberland celebrates over 50 years of their iconic Yellow Boot, the campaign is a reminder that true style isn’t about following trends; it’s about authenticity. For Naomi, the message is clear. Whether on the catwalk or in a pair of Timberlands, she’ll always be ready to step up and and walk the walk.
