In the video above he shows us how to create the ultimate winged eye – his gorgeous model is Disney star Madison Pettis who has enlisted Glenn’s help to prepare for a film premiere in Manhattan.
Step 1
Get your shadow shields firmly in place.
Then apply your Gel Liner to create a heavier more dramatic effect.
Glenn starts with the underneath. The most important line is creating that line that follows up from the under eye and then you make the top of the eye match it.
Using that line that you’ve created from the bottom lash line, continue it to the top, just like joining the dots.
Then create a line from the top straight down to the lashes. Then follow the guideline you’ve created for yourself and fill in the line.
Use an angled brush to create the best line.
Then take another angled brush to gently press some black powder into the eyeliner gel to set it in place. So your winged eye look will last longer.
It’s also a great way to blur your eyeliner line so it doesn’t look too drawn on which gives it more of an edgy fashion look, says Glenn.
Take a pointy cotton bud and clean up and fix the lines with the Bioderma Micellaire water so you have a clean edge.
Step 2
Once you have tidied up add your lashes. Glenn recommends Model Rocks Lashes, they have a huge range for you to select from so you can choose your desired look.
Then apply the lashes with tweezers for precision. Then whilst they are drying create a strong brow look.
Start by brushing the brow hair upwards so the hairs are all going the same direction. Then use a natural shade in an eyebrow pencil or powder, similar to your own brow colour to fill them in.
Then take your mascara, Glenn recommends L’oreal Voluminous Butterfly Intenza Mascara.
Pull the lashes up so you mascara the natural lashes to the false lashes.
Step 3
Take a big blending brush for your eyes and use a light shimmery nude eyeshadow and blend it all over your eyelid to set it and add a soft sheen.
Then take a slightly smaller blending brush and use a very small amount of product in either a burnt maroon colour like Glenn does using Charlotte Tilbury or a soft brown and gently apply a very small amount of shading in the socket line to add a bit of definition.
Then use a nude coloured pencil to the inner rim of your eye rather than a dark colour so the focus remains on the winged eyeliner.
This will make you eyes look brighter and more awake adding an extra pop!
And there you have it, how to create the perfect Winged Eye look by Glenn Nuttley.
