The hair In a soft low bun for ceremony – then taken down in soft waves for reception but then became too hot so my hair dresser put it up mid reception for me in a twisted messier bun!

The wedding bands & engagement ring My engagement ring is a 3 carrot round brilliant cut. With a platinum knife edge band. My two wedding bands are also platinum with 5 x .3 carrots round brilliant cut. I was surprised on the morning of our wedding when he had sent a letter and a box with the second wedding band which I had no idea about! He has a plain platinum band. no detail.
The Bridal & Groom’s Party 2 bridesmaids, 2 groomsmen, 1 flower girl, 1 page boy.
The bridesmaids’/flower girls’ dresses My flower girl dress was by Doloris Petunia & its called the “Annabelle’’ and can be described as an ivory lace ballerina shaped gown with a cut out at the back with pearl buttons. It’s gorgeous!
My bridesmaids dresses were custom made by Leah Da Gloria. They were backless, the top half covered with light purple beading and the bottom of the dress short to the knee, with ruffles of light purple silk organza. Not 100% if you would call the colour purple, I may have to check with Leah.
Invitations & stationery Invitations, menus, stationary was done all by Weddings by Diane Khoury who is also my wedding planner. My invitation was simple in gold & cream tones with a laser cut boarder. Picture necessary.
Bridal bouquet & bridal party’s flowers My bouquet was white peonies alone & my flower girl had the same in a much smaller version. My bridesmaid had 5 large head long steamed white roses.
The ceremony I walked down a Perspex aisle on their pool which is perched over a cliff with views of the ocean & beach. A 3 piece string quartet played the music of kissing you – by Des’ree when I walked down. There was a large floral arch at the end of the aisle where joe was waiting and two floral arrangements at the start.
The reception The Reception was at Karma Kandara Private Beach. Guests took an inclinator ride from up the top of the cliff where the resort is, down to the beach.
The reception decorations I flew Vesna Grasso from Sydney to work together with Aisle Project (florist based in bali) and Diane Khoury & Julia Lorenti for everything in between.
Reception entertainment We had 2 djs & a group of fire breathing dancers which were incredible!
Reception music The reception music was a mix of modern pop & Arabic!
The bridal waltz song Our Bridal Waltz song was Im ready – Alicia Keys. Joseph dedicated this song to me when we were first dating. I hadn’t heard it before but fell in love with the song the first time I heard it and it became special to us ever since.
The wedding cake It was a 6 layered cake, design based on our wedding invitation and the bottom tier is the detail of my lace dress from J’Aton.
What’s your best advice for other brides? Don’t forget what it’s really about.
Was there anything you wish you’d known? That it wasn’t going to rain… would have saved a whole lot of worrying!
What was the best decision you made about your wedding day? To marry Joseph! Oh and have an intimate destination wedding in the most breathtaking location with only our closest family and friends.
Would you change anything about your day? Not a single thing. It really was a dream come true.
