Lizzie: So whats your favourite city in the whole world? You travel the world constantly…
Gary Pepper Girl: Ahh, It sounds really cliche because everyone loves this place but I honestly have a really strong connection with Paris, ecstatically its just so beautiful. I find it its everything I would picture Gary Pepper to be.. so romantic, you know ethereal and whimsical its all about the details for me so there is no inch of Paris that doesnt look like Paris as its really cohesive, its so easy for me to find inspiration over there so I absolutely adore Paris and I can never have enough time there!
Lizzie: French women are so stylish!
Gary Pepper Girl: They are so chic, so effortless, I think thats what everyone espires to be you know, there cool with out looking cool.
Lizzie: You travel the world going to all the different fashion weeks every season, how do you adapt your wardrobe to suit the different fashion weeks?
Gary Pepper Girl: Its really hard coming from Australia because we only have a certain weight allowance, so I used to go with 23kg the first year I went and now I take 2 suitcases but obviously I have to pre pack pieces that are veritile and that i can mix and match but I do find that that I do dress alittle bit, each city influences the way I dress, for example New York very urban and abit more grundy while Paris is very romantic so I feel like i can wear outfits that I wouldnt wear in New York wouldnt make me look the same, wouldnt make me feel the same. For me its about creating all these emotions, I dress pretty stream line when I’m in New York cause I think you look out of place if your walking down the road in a floating pleated Sarah Jessica Parker dress and we all wish we were Sarah Jessica Parker. So I guess in a way I do carter to the environment I’m in and then Paris is really easy to dress for. London its just about layers beacuse its just so cold and Milano I find there quite playful, so I acutally wear some really loud prints when I’m there and I wear alot of colour.
Lizzie: So whats your style when your at home?
Gary Pepper Girl: I’m the polar opposite, So I’m a very simple girl I love camping and fishing and all thats stuff so when I’m home no hair, no make-up and like you know shorts and a singlet, its so simple Lizzie it’s the biggest misconception from me everyone must think I love getting dressed up but you know its blocking, you get to get up and create this world when I go home you know its me time.
Lizzie: Yeah so you strip it all off!?
Gary Pepper Girl: Its the only time I get to relax and get time for myself!
