Hourglass Just Dropped a New Liquid Highlighter. And Aussies Can Be The First To Get Their Hands On It

After months of whispers about where Hourglass Cosmetics would land in Australia, the answer has arrived … And we’re excited!

As of February 17, 2026, Hourglas officially launched its direct-to-consumer website in Australia and New Zealand. That means you can now shop the brand directly via hourglasscosmetics.com.au (and .co.nz), complete with a one-time 10% welcome discount just for signing up. Complimentary standard shipping? Included for the first month. No minimum spend.

But here’s where it gets interesting.

The Case For The Three Step Skin Care Routine

Australia isn’t just getting easier access to Hourglass. We’re getting a global first.

Meet Unreal Liquid Highlighter (Before the Rest of the World Does)

As part of its regional debut, Hourglass is launching its brand-new Unreal Liquid Highlighter exclusively in Australia and New Zealand — a full month ahead of its global release on March 17.

Let that sink in.

For a limited time, hourglasscosmetics.com.au will be the only place in the world where you can shop this product.

Described as a weightless, serum-like glow innovation, Unreal Liquid Highlighter is engineered for what the brand calls “real light.” Think buildable luminosity that looks believable, not blinding. The formula is designed to hold up in heat, humidity and everyday movement — in other words, it’s made for the Australian lifestyle. Long lunches. Beach weddings. Commuter makeup that needs to survive a 32-degree day.

It melts into skin with a fluid, second-skin finish, delivering that lit-from-within radiance Hourglass is known for — without sparkle overload or texture emphasis. Expect something you can sheer out for a soft sheen or build for glassy, editorial glow.

And yes, Sydneysiders will also be able to shop it in person before anyone else in the world.

The World of Hourglass Lands in Sydney

To celebrate its expansion, Hourglass is hosting its first-ever Australian immersive brand experience — a four-day pop-up taking over 14 Martin Place in Sydney from February 26 to March 1.

Think sculptural interiors. Elevated artistry stations. Shade-matching consultations. Masterclasses. And curated discovery moments that feel more gallery than retail.

But the real headline is that the Ambient Lighting Edit: Charms experience is coming to Australia for the first time.

Previously only available at the Hourglass Global Flagship in New York and at the Hourglass counter inside Selfridges London, Sydney will become just the third location globally to offer this fine jewellery–inspired palette experience.

The concept allows you to personalise your Ambient Lighting Edit palette with collectible charms — transforming one of Hourglass’s most iconic products into something uniquely yours. It’s customisation, but make it couture.

After the pop-up (February 26–March 1), the Charms experience will also be available at Sephora Melbourne Central (February 26–March 8) and Sephora Pitt Street Sydney (March 2–March 8).

Speaking of which, Hourglass also officially launches in Sephora on February 26.

The Icons Are All Here

While Unreal Liquid Highlighter is stealing the spotlight, the full edit of Hourglass favourites will also be available online and in Sephora.

That includes:

  • Veil Hydrating Skin Tint, the lightweight complexion perfector built for all-day hydration.
  • Illusion Luminous Glow Foundation SPF 30, the only SPF 30 foundation clinically shown to visibly lift skin in 14 days.
  • Vanish Airbrush Concealer, with one sold every six seconds globally.
  • Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm, the 3-in-1 hybrid that hydrates, plumps and delivers lacquer-like shine.
  • Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara, for length, lift and clean definition.
  • And the cult Ambient Lighting Palettes, the finishing powders that pioneered the modern “soft-focus” glow.

All of it guided by the brand’s 100% vegan and cruelty-free philosophy — a non-negotiable standard that has helped redefine what modern luxury beauty looks like.

The Launch Perks (Because There Are Plenty)

To mark the direct-to-consumer debut, Hourglass is offering:

  • Complimentary standard shipping across Australia and New Zealand for the first month (no minimum spend).
  • A one-time 10% welcome discount when you sign up.
  • A complimentary Hourglass mirror with purchases of $150 AUD / $180 NZD or more (through mid-March).
  • A deluxe sample with orders of $120 AUD / $150 NZD.
  • Expedited delivery options in metropolitan areas.

It’s rare that Australia is first in line for a global beauty launch. Rarer still that we’re the only destination to shop a product ahead of the world.

So whether you’re logging on today to secure Unreal Liquid Highlighter before its international debut, or planning a Martin Place visit to personalise your palette in person, one thing is clear:

Hourglass hasn’t just arrived in Australia. It’s made its entrance.
