Luckiest Designers To Wear To An Awards Ceremony

With the red carpet awards in full swing, it may pay dividends for Hollywood’s starlets to choose their outfit from the list of the luckiest designers to wear to an awards ceremony.

White On White: Oscars Frocks and Shocks

With the Golden Globes a few weekends ago and the Critics Choice Awards this past weekend and the Oscars taking place on March 11, fashion site Jovani has examined the dresses that have been worn by the winners of the most awards.

Italian designer Armani came top of the list followed by Valentino and Prada, Versace and Gucci. So while Margot Robbie doesn’t seem to have any issues winning awards, she may want to cast her eye at all the Italian designers.

Luckiest Red Carpet Designer Is Armani

Over the last decade, Armani has been worn the most amongst winners, featuring on 10 winning ladies (13% of all actresses analysed). Armani has notably been worn by Jessica Chastain at the 2022 Oscars, Renée Zellweger in 2020 at the Golden Globes and Zendaya (over webcam) at the 2020 Emmys.

The second luckiest designer to wear to an award show is Valentino, with 9 designs modelled by winning ladies. Valentino has been worn by winners Lily Gladstone most recently at the 2024 Golden Globes, Frances McDormand at the 2021 Oscars and Zendaya at the 2022 Emmys.

The joint third luckiest designers to wear to an award show is Prada and Dior, featuring on 5 winning ladies – For Prada most recently was Ayo Edebiri at the 2024 Golden Globes and Olivia Colman in 2019 at the Oscars. For Dior was Jennifer Lawrence at the 2016 Golden Globes and most recently Quinta Brunson at the Emmys this year.
