Most of us who grew up in Australia have fond memories of the adorable, Snugglepot and Cuddlepie.
The beautiful characters created by children’s author May Gibbs is so distinctively Australian with their delightfully drawn faces and native fauna. So it’s wonderful to see these characters come to live as part of Vivid Sydney’s many upcoming events. And it also marks a very special birthday for the intrepid Gumnut Babies – 100 years to be exact.
Now, renowned art and animation collective Ample Projects is bringing May Gibbs’ immortal characters to life on the façade of Sydney’s 1845 Customs House- which is also returning to Vivid Sydney.
