Trinidad Jewels: Colombian-Inspired Traditional Jewellery
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Colombian Yara Ruiz has a fiery passion for quality pieces found in hidden corners of Latin America, and back in 2007 set out on a mission to create a high-end special jewellery collection – Trinidad Jewels.

The sustainable brand that’s now based in Sydney utilises the traditional way of Colombian handcrafted techniques to make show-stopping statement pieces that make the perfect accompaniment to dress up your outfit.

Being made up of natural stones and metals like brass, bronze, gold-plated 24kt or stainless-steel bath for silver, each piece in the four Spring/Summer Illumination collection (Love, Creation, and Soul) is highly durable.

“I wanted to create a collection and brand that is both sustainable and aesthetically pleasing, with a focus on the female,” said Ruiz. “I have a team of locally-sourced Colombian craftsmen who I work closely with to support the local community from which the brand was inspired by. Each has been selected based on their ability to support my design aesthetic, whilst creating a quality, high-end design.”

“I’m really passionate about the creative process, which involves painstakingly researching, and mixing and matching different materials and high-quality stones to ensure that every design is unique.”

Trinidad Jewels’s ‘Illumination Collection” includes necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. Prices start from RRP $54.
