Although neither are commenting directly about the reasons for the bust-up, the parents of 22-month-old girl Aleeia released a statement confirming they’d gone their separate ways after three years of marriage.
“We are going to continue to support each other and remain best of friends, we only want the best for each other and more importantly our amazing daughter Aleeia,” the couple said.
At least one magazine is blaming the divide on a combination of explosive arguments and that Jodi isn’t keen on fulfilling Braith’s wishes of giving him two more children.
Woman’s Day, who published their lavish Bali wedding exclusive, also claims that Jodi, 30, wants a ‘now-or-never’ crack at breaking into Hollywood.
Jodi is trying to put a brave face since the split, attending events including The Star’s Summer Hits event on December 3 and the Diner en Blanc white party the week earlier at the Opera House.
She’s also continued to make regular Instagram posts, although there’s been no happy family snaps for weeks, or shots of Jodi with her former NRL beau.
In 2014 the pair bought into Braith’s parent’s restaurant in La Perouse in Sydney and the couple who met on a blind date set-up by one of Braith’s team-mates seemed to be settling well into married life.
But privately, the former Home And Away sweetheart is yearning to return to the acting world, say reports.
It is understood that Jodi has now moved out of the family home in Randwick, Sydney, and are having a “trial separation”, says their manager Sean Anderson.
“They have had challenges like all married couples and despite best efforts to make things work they have agreed that a trial separation is best for them and their precious daughter Aleeia.
“They would really appreciate it if the media can afford them some privacy during this time.”
