The new pair, already dubbed ‘HiddleSwift’ by online supporters, could hardly keep their hands off each other during a day-time smooch-fest on a Rhode Island beach recently.
“Tom checks off a lot of boxes. He’s hot, smart, talented, British, blond, everything she’s into. What’s not to like?” a friend of the Grammy winner told Us.
“She’s going with it and why shouldn’t she? They have been bonding over the industry, their childhoods, where they are from. It’s the getting-to-know-you phase.
“Taylor is just happy to have the time to meet someone new and move on from Calvin.”
Taylor and her ex, Calvin Harris, below, called it quits on their nearly 15-month relationship just a few weeks prior.
A source close to the DJ-producer tells Us that Calvin is surprised by Taylor’s new actor beau.
“Calvin was surprised to see the photos and that she had moved on so quickly,” the source tells Us.
“That was fast! It was surprising to him but he just wants to move on. He’s a really good guy.”
When photographers caught up with Calvin, 32, in a parking garage in Beverly Hills the This Is What You Came For DJ was all smiles.
“Any comment on Taylor and Tom, Calvin?” one cameraman asked. “Is everything going to be OK between you two?”
“All good,” said Calvin, who is reportedly now planning a break-up song. “[She’s] just doing her thing.”
Reports say that Taylor and Tom, an early favourite to take over the James Bond reins, first bonded at a pre-Met Gala dinner party hosted by Anna Wintour.
Taylor, 26, is said to have called Calvin to end their relationship at some point after he was injured in a car crash.
