The Summer Chaser sells towels that are mindfully made of recycled plastic waste. This was the first time I’ve tried a sustainable towel so I was a little intrigued.

The Australian brand is based in Melbourne and launched in 2019. They were keen to create a line of towels that would decrease traveller’s impact on the environment. These towels are made out of fabric from recycled plastic bottles.

Both towels are super absorbent and better than using a regular cotton towel. They are sand-resistant, so they can be used on the beach, for yoga and Pilates, as well as outdoor activities.

The range has expanded with products for children and babies with very cute baby hooded towels and junior towels. The junior towels have beautiful prints including jungle and the super pretty butterfly garden. I’m hoping they bring these and the baby sea world print to the adult versions.

The towels come in a matching drawstring pouch. There’s a large corner pocket that is ideal for keeping your keys, sunscreen or your mobile phone.

The range comes in lots of fun prints. I’m lusting after the animal kingdom print, dipping sun and flower power. The surfer’s bucket list would make a great gift for the surfer in your life.

Did you know that power couple Catherine Martin and Baz Luhrmann liked the Animal Kingdom design so much they ordered towels for the whole team? The jungalicious print featuring cheetahs and jungle leaves on the front and spots on the back. Designed by a Moscow-based illustrator Julia Dreams.

The fitness towels are a new addition to the eco-friendly range. They are ultralight and great for travel and the gym. There’s a handy corner pocket that is ideal for carrying your keys and credit card.

There are pop art-inspired words, modern and American sports styles.

There is no musty smell. You might find you need to wash them less and as a result, save on water. Colours do not fade.

Look out for the cute scrunchies which are made out of imperfectly printed towels. A great way to ensure there’s no waste. The scrunchies are ideal for wet, sweaty and salty hair.

I can’t wait for the weather to heat up so I hit the surf. I am grateful for living within driving distance of the beach and I’m looking forward to my next holiday.

About Summer Chaser
