HATCH is Taronga Zoo’s Accelerator Program. It aims to inspire, support and launch innovative ideas and actions to help address some of the most pressing environmental and conservation challenges currently facing our planet.
From edible coffee cups that help solve our plastic problem to re-usable take-away containers, some of the most exciting business ideas we’ll see in coming years are emerging from out of this program.
In this interview, Hatch Program Manager Danielle Fryday talks about the benefits of the program for participants, some of the great ideas in past years that are now getting off the ground, and this year’s exciting line-up of concepts that, if successful, will go on to provide solutions that protect and care for the environment.
