Get Organised With The ASUS ZenWatch

If you’re on the hunt for a new tech buy, then ASUS’ ZenWatch could be your calling.

On first impressions, this Android-only device is shmick – the curved screen along with the leather straps make it look premium, and the oversized screen surprisingly doesn’t look ridiculous on my kiddie wrist. Upon putting it on, I immediately look ready to take on my work day, even when I’m just rocking jeans and a white tee on a casual Friday.

With the word ‘watch’ in its name, it obviously does a good job at telling the time; there’s over 100 different watch face designs to pick from to fulfill your greatest personalisation dreams. Choose pink and purple if you’re feeling girly, deep navy for every day wear, or even pitch black to go with your night-time get-up.

Along with standard capabilities that you’d expect from a smart-watch such as complete synchronisation with your calendar and accepting phone calls, there’s also some surprising elements too. Impress your boss by controlling PowerPoint presentations with your watch (I’m feeling some Inspector Gadget vibes here), track your well-being everyday with the in-built sensor, and say goodbye to procrastination as you’ll be reminded of to-do items with the ‘Do It Later’ function.

In regards to battery life, you’ll need to charge this one up every night – simply clip it into its charging cradle or plug it in via the micro USB port. It’s a little clunky, but after a few tries you’ll get used to it.

The only downside? The lack of in-built camera, of course! However, to satisfy your selfie needs, you can use the watch as a viewfinder while your Android phone does the hard work. I guess it’s a novel way of reviewing photos before you pop them up on social media.

Overall, it’s a great entry-level device for people looking to give smart-watches a go.
