One such group forging the way for women to support each other is Priceline Pharmacy’s Sisterhood Foundation which is a driving force for change in the area of women’s health. Sir Bob Geldof – 1980’s pop star and avid aid campaigner – spoke at Priceline Pharmacy’s first annual franchise conference in 2010 and encouraged the audience of Priceline Pharmacy staff and store owners to rise to the challenge to give back to the communities in which they live and work. And, Priceline Pharmacy have certainly taken this on board as they strive to reach millions of women around the country with the Priceline Sisterhood Foundation.

In 2014 the Foundation became a registered charity in Australia and committed to supporting five charity partners to help women who are affected by serious illness in this country. The Priceline Sisterhood Foundation donates 100 per cent of the profits raised to its nominated charity partners. So far, they’ve raised an impressive $1.4 million across its 420 strong store network, as well as raising significant awareness for the Foundation and the charities it supports. Here’s a little about each of the five charities supported by the Foundation.

Alzheimer’s Australia provides a wide range of information, support, counselling, training and education to people with dementia, their families and carers as well as to professionals working in the dementia field. They advocate for the needs of Australians living with all types of dementia and they are committed to achieving a dementia-friendly Australia where people with dementia are respected, supported, empowered and engaged in community life.
