At 46 and with two Academy Awards already under her belt, Aussie actress Cate Blanchett really should give lessons in how to work the red carpet style in such an effortless manner.

She looked simply stunning in a chic pale green Armani Prive floral gown.

Cate is no stranger to showcasing magnificent looks and this year was no exception. She may not have picked up best Female Actress for her performance in the film Carol, but she won the style stakes.

Her blonde locks and pale complexion and natural makeup-look combined with the fairy-tale dress worked in perfect synchronicity.

Her beautiful gown was adorned with sparkling flowers and a long train and her styling was on point with simple diamond earrings and a statement cuff.

Here’s How To Get Red Carpet Ready Cate Blanchett Style With Tips From Her Make-Up Artist, Jeanine Lobell

Cate’s first step in the road to clear skin is the SK-II signature product, SK-II Facial Treatment Essence.

“For many years I have spoken about the profound effect that this ‘miracle water’ has had on my skin. Having used SK-II Facial Treatment Essence for 15 years I can confidently say it has not only transformed my complexion, but quite possibly changed the destiny of my skin as well”

The next step to ensure Cate’s skin was looking its best was the NEW SK-II Facial Treatment Oil that offers immediate and intense moisturisation thanks to the naturally-derived oils mixed with SK-II’s signature ingredient, Pitera.

“It is one of the most hydrating products I’ve ever used. Just a few drops keep my skin dewy and hydrated and one can make-up over it immediately.”

Cate’s first introduction to the SK-II brand was through its brightening range and her use of the product has continued to evolve as the products do to keep her skin radiant.

“I try and stay out of the direct sun in summer but one does need Vitamin D! I tend to make my summer skincare regimen lighter with a few, but very effective products. The SK-II GenOptics Aura Essence especially, I find, leaves my skin feeling moisturized and gives it great luminosity”

Since it launched in 2015, Cate’s trusted make-up artist Jeanine Lobell, has been using SK-II R.N.A moisturiser, SK-II’s most revolutionary anti-ageing series to date for youthful, firm skin to ensure Cate’s skin was best prepared for make-up.

“When it was time to apply foundation, I mixed in a few drops of the new Facial Treatment Oil which instantly hydrated Cate’s skin, creating a dewy glow,” Jeanine said. “Having a good base for makeup application is the key to a beautiful final makeup look.”

Just before Cate left for the red carpet, Jeanine ensured Cate’s make-up look was set and her skin deeply hydrated with the SK-II Mid-Day Miracle Essence that lets you take Pitera on the go to refresh skin wherever you are.

“I applied the Mid-Day Miracle Essence over the makeup to keep it looking dewy and glowing,” said Jeanine. “It’s my absolute must-have because it prevents makeup from caking. It’s the perfect final step for the red carpet.”

Cate’s appearance at the Academy Awards follows her participation in the SK-II #ChangeDestiny Forum held in Los Angeles on Friday, 26 February; sharing intimate stories where embracing change had lead to the most pivotal and fulfilling moments in her life.

Inspired by the stories of the many SK-II loyal users who have shared how the brand’s products made it possible for their skin to #ChangeDestiny, SK-II has moved beyond products alone. The brand has committed to empowering women to take control of their futures and achieve their aspirations through the #ChangeDestiny campaign.
