Aussie Actor Shane Jacobson Hosts The 2019 AACTA Awards

From his days as host of ‘Little Big Shots’ and judge of ‘Australia’s Got Talent’, to his his AFI Award-winning role for Best Lead Actor in ‘Kenny’ (2006); Shane Jacobson boasts an impressive career as not only an actor, but also a director, writer and comedian. The Aussie star will host the upcoming Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards show on the 4th of December.

I absolutely love award shows, I do, and to host a show recognising colleagues and friends who create suchincredible work and to be on stage with actors who I’m just a flat out fan of, well what a thrill it is to be part ofthe AACTA’s this year,’’ said Shane Jacobson.

Shane won’t be alone on-stage, though; he’ll also be joined by a large number of Australian television and cinema talents including: Asher Keddie, Rodger Corser and Rachel Griffiths; to name a few.

In what will be a night full of stars, rolled out on the red carpet, keep a close eye out for Jessica Mauboy’s attention-steering performance, having just recently released her fourth studio album in October.

Furthermore, Sam Neill, from the famed Jurassic Park movies, will also be in attendance to receive the Longford Lyall Award – Australia’s highest screen accolade – recognising his “unparalleled contributions to the Australian and global screen industry” in the form of his three Golden Globe Nominations, two Primetime Emmy Award nominations, and eight AFI AACTA Award nominations and wins.

The event will held at the Star Event Centre, in Sydney. Tickets are still available and can be purchased here.
